nuskin scam

Is there really such a thing as a NuSkin scam?

Well let’s see, Nu Skin was founded in 1984, operates in three continents in over 50 markets and currently has over half a million distributors.

Not only that, they are a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.  In order to accomplish that, realize that this company has passed more checks, balances and scrutiny than you do going through the body scanner at the airport.  So to say it clearly, there is no NuSkin scam, gimmick, fraud, pyramid or whatever else you may hear.

So who’s saying that it is?

What Is Nu Skin?

Let’s talk about what this company is before we go into the scam allegations.  Nu Skin was found by a brother and sister team, Blake & Nedra Roney.  They have an extensive product line consisting of  personal care products, with an emphasis on skin care.

One of their hot ticket items is the NuSkin Galvanic Spa which is touted as being cheaper than a professional facial.  Now it sounds like a complicated contraption but it has revolutionized the beauty industry and many women rave about it.

So, Why The Allegations Of A NuSkin Scam?

Network marketing or multi-level marketing has been the target of many for decades.  Indeed many mlm companies fail because of bad overpriced product and lackluster management.  As a result the entire business model of mlm gets blamed and called a scam.

What you should know is that claim was discredited by the US Federal courts decades ago.  The business model of mlm is NOT a scam.

It simply means that people are paid for selling company product themselves and also earn commissions/bonuses from sales generated by anyone they introduced to the company.  So it creates a downline or levels of various compensation.  Hence the term muli-level marketing.

It’s no different than if you had a great meal at a restaurant and you go tell your friends how excellent the food and service was.  Now because of your recommendation, your friends go eat at that same restaurant.  Of course, the restaurant won’t pay you because they made money from your recommendation.  In mlm, the company will.

Further Evidence Disputes The NuSkin Scam

As mentioned, Nu Skin is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange.  In order for any company to be publicly traded means that they have passed innumerable accountability standards.

They have a 27 year track record without any findings of illegal or unethical practices.

They continue to span the globe increasing their markets across continents and steadily increasing the number of their distributors.

Bottom line…

There is NO NuSkin Scam.  Other than attackers of the mlm industry as a whole, the other people yelling about a NuSkin scam are those who joined the business and failed.  It is said and is true that 95-97% of people that join a mlm home based business will fail.  The only reason people fail in this industry is because they lack marketing skills and they give up.

If you’re thinking about joining NuSkin, understand that although it’s not a scam, there’s a high probability that you may fail just like the others that cry and blame the “NuSkin Scam”.

Why is that?

Simply because the NuSkin business model is a traditional one which teaches it’s reps outdated strategies for building an organization.  Strategies like home meetings to display the product for friends and family, harassing your warm market and the 3 foot rule.

In this industry, that will NEVER lead to long-term success.

Your NuSkin success will be determined by your ability to brand yourself, generate leads and prospects for your business on a consistent basis and market your business effectively using the power of online marketing.

If you’re serious about being successful in Nu Skin or any mlm home based business, then it’s vital for you to get the knowledge and skills that allow you to personally sponsor 5-10 reps a month, so that you don’t have to go around screaming “NuSkin Scam”.
